Everyone came back from Thanksgiving ready to work. That’s great. We will be having the CFTW combine either Friday or Monday. I know it’s that time of year where everyone is not watching what they eat as much as they should. You hear it every year. What might be different this year is that you are actually going to watch what you eat. Yes, Garfield was correct when he said calories are meant to be consumed, not counted but lets try to draw the line somewhere and have some discipline. I hope everybody gets into the spirit this year and enjoy the holidays. But lets not forget about the hard work we all have put into our health and fitness to have that enjoyment. Keep working hard!!!

Dan John Fitness Seminar

We had a great weekend here at CFTW. Coach John had so many great things to teach. Too bad we could only go for eight hours. If you got to come, you can clearly see what I’m talking about. Coach has a very unique way of teaching. Whenever people come to an event and walk away from it with more knowledge, I consider it a success. I can’t wait until the next time we have the pleasure of hosting another seminar where Dan John is speaking.

Past couple days in the box have been great. Tons of new people signing up. The other day someone asked the question, “Who is in better shape?” Me or a tri athlete. This is a question that really does not make any sense. There are so many differnt types of fitness out there. To compare one to another is quite silly. It’s like another game guys generally play that involves measurements but at the end of the day does it all really matter. Sure, the tri athlete is in much better shape than I am. Most people that know me will tell you that I’m in much better shape than the tri athlete. I don’t have to be the guy that is in the best shape. At this point in my career I feel my ego is in check. I just have to be able to be in good shape and coach others to get into shape.
